Getting Here

You can access the villas via 2 airports and 1 ferry port. We strongly advise that you rent a car for your holiday. It is cheapest and easiest to rent from the airport, booking in advance.  

It is not ideal, but still possible to stay at the villas without hiring a car. You can walk down to the main road, about a half an hour's walk, and get a bus; or use taxis. There is an excellent taverna 20 minutes away on foot, and another two good ones about 1/2 an hour away on foot. The nearest shop is 6 km from the villas.

People often ask me for car rental advice, but the companies seem to vary from year to year. 

I would suggest that, unlike flights, the prices are usually better nearer the date of your holiday. The following 2 websites have good prices and seem to look after you quite well if there are problems:

3 hours by car from the villas

Access from many countries in Europe and the world.  Flights to Athens can be cheaper than to Kalamata.  You need to add approximately €110 for the round trip in a hire car, to include road tolls and petrol.

Athens to Kalamata   

There is a bus from the main Athens bus station in Kiffisou Street to Kalamata, it takes about

2.5 hours - 3 hours.

There is a bus from Athens airport to Kiffisou bus station, the X93, or you  can get a taxi.

There are also local buses  in the area of the villas if you choose not to hire a car.  Nearest bus stop is half an hour away by foot.
