Nearby towns

Petalidi is the nearest town, less than 10 minutes away by car. A very pretty small harbourside town centred around the church square.  Here you will find lots of shops, cafés and tavernas around the square and on the water front.

Koroni is a charming town about 25 minutes south by car, it has the ruins of an old castle, winding backstreets and steps and many good bars and tavernas on the harbour front.

Pylos,  a charming port and harbour, is about 45 minutes away by car on the west coast and is very historical, it has two castles and is on Navarino bay. The Battle of Navarino took place in the bay in 1827. It is a wonderful place for sunsets.

Finikounda is a small village on the south coast, a very pretty and quaint little place with fishing boats and tavernas on the beach and the harbour.  About 40 minutes away by car.

Nearby Place to Eat

Eating out in the area is a delight, the food and wines are local and delicious, and many are in wonderful waterside and mountain village locations:

O Platanos, The Plane Tree, is our nearest and probably the best nearby taverna.  It is a 15 minute walk from the Villas, 5 minutes by car.  Family run, it serves delicious traditional local dishes with the warmest of service.  Everyone's favourite!

O Vrachos, The Rock, is 2 km from the villas and set above a beach and the sea, with really breathtaking views across the sea to the mountains beyond.  The food is good and there is great live traditional Greek music there on selected evenings. It has a soft seating café area as well.

Sti Brisi is a lovely taverna in Petalidi.  It is right on the edge of the sea, next to a beach and has beautiful views across the bay to the mountains beyond.  The food is simple good Greek food and affordable prices.
